With 2.7 million people visiting this museum on an annual basis, it should not be a surprise that this is one museum one ought to visit once in a lifetime. The National Folk Museum was constructed on the commands of US Government in 1945, and you have to believe it when they boast about the building being a state-of-the-art, since it is beautiful when it comes to architecture. The design is unique and it is divided into three main halls where the objects are exhibited. One more thing they can boast about is the distinctiveness of the objects portraying history and traditions of the Koreans.

There are only a few museums in the world that show pieces of modern art. One of the best amongst them is the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, New York City. The variety is tremendous, as the artworks belong to every branch of the field of arts- paintings, literature, sculptures, photographs and even objects portraying unique architectural designs. 3. United Kingdom, London : Victoria and Albert Museum
The royal look of the building and its name will give you enough idea to know that the place has been named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. With a total of 4.5 million artifacts going back 5000 years, there should be no doubt when it said to be the largest and best museum in London. All pieces are basically on the lines of decorative art and design. A large number (3.2 million, to be precise) visits it annually.
4. France, Paris : Musée d´Orsay
Perhaps the only museum that is set in a railway station that stopped functioning long ago. The building is one of its kind, with around ceiling and possessing the largest number of impressionist and post-impressionist pieces of art, by artists such as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, Gaugin and Van Gogh. Annually, 3.5 million people turn up to see the items displayed here, which is why this is the third most visited museum in France.
5. France, Paris : Musée National d´Art Moderne
This museum functions on the same lines as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The only difference is that the pieces are basically of modern French art. There is a large collection comprising of 100,000 artworks contributed by 6400 artists is all. The amazing fact that only a minority of people know about this is that this is the museum holding the second largest collection of modern and contemporary art in the world. Even then, 3.7 million people visit it annually.
