Smoking used to be in trend for many decades, but with more outbreaks in research showing how damaging smoking is to our health it is obvious that many people trying to quit. The best methods to quit smoking does not need to be difficult. Actually, the easier it is to accomplish something and see fast results, the more motivated we tend to be.
I have written 10 effective ways to help you with your problem, but it is not easy to quit. Whatever you do, go slow and take it easy. If you decide to just quit smoking today, you will fail and have a lack of motivation to do it again.
Let’s start:

No matter what you do, plan it first and imagine yourself 3 years from now with better health, more money, and smoke-free. Take it easy at first. Instead of saying “I quit smoking for 1 month” do this instead – quit smoking for 1 hour. After 1 hour pass, you accomplished your goal. Then set up another goal. Slowly make it into 2 hours, half day, 1 day, 1 week.

By making it short at first, you making it easy. Easy is the way to go.

2 – Do Some Physical Exercise:

Exercise, even a little of it, will give you a huge boost in terms of motivation and health. Your mindsets into ‘healthy’ mode and you will consequently try to smoke less.






3 – Discuss With People About Quitting:

Just like alcoholics have groups to discuss their problems, and overweight people go to the weight watchers meeting, you can also discuss this with other people. If you make your family and friends involved, they might become your coaches and ensure you are on the right track.



4 – Throw Away Your Ashtray And Lighter:

If you are out of these two, it makes you a little bit harder to get another smoke. Anything that makes smoking harder is a step in right direction.

Caffeine will cause extra stress, and that is a bad thing for smokers. Although quitting coffee is probably harder than quitting smoking, try to limit both.


7 – Divert Your Mind:

Make yourself busy. Remember about setting short term and long term goal for quitting smoking? Do the same, but set a goal of what you want to accomplish and who you want to be 10 years from now. Then get yourself into “do it” mode.

While you are not working to achieve your dreams, during break find a hobby or play some video games to relax. Put your mind into something, and you will stop thinking of smoking.

Try to relax. Get a massage, listen to your favorite tunes, anything that will totally get you off to relax. Smoking is usually caused by stress. Release stress and you will find yourself going for fewer puffs.

Now if you thought about something naughty – it is not that! Although, sex does work for quitting smoking temporary. But now, you want to do something with your mouth, like chewing gums, eating sunflower seeds, or just eating small snacks.




10 – Switch To Fruits And Vegetables:

If small things don’t work for you, eat more vegetables and fruits. There is something good about healthy foods that limit you from taking more cigarets.
